PILIPINAS SHELL PETROLEUM CORPORATION

Shell’s partnership with the Filipino people dates back to 1914 when Shell established its corporate presence and organized its first trading office. Today, the Shell companies in the Philippines (SciP) are one of the largest private investors in the country, involved in the upstream and downstream aspects of the oil and gas industry and in promoting renewable energy in the country.

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation (PSPC) serves customers in almost every field of transport, commerce and industry with the wide range of high quality fuels, lubricants, liquefied petroleum gas, aviation fuel, bitumen and other specialty products it produces. Pilipinas Shell became a complete downstream business when it commenced operations of its first crude distiller in Tabangao, Batangas in 1962. Shell also opened a refrigerated LPG terminal in 1983, operated by Shell Gas Eastern Inc. with trading handled in the region by Shell Gas Trading Asia Pacific.

In the upstream business, Shell Philippines Exploration B.V. (SPEX) is operator of the Malampaya Deepwater Gas-to-Power Project. In 2004, Shell established the Shell Shared Services Asia B.V. (SSSABV), which handles part of the transactional accounting work for Shell Oil Products US (SOPUS) and Motiva.

To further strengthen and support SciP’s corporate social responsibility, Shell established the Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc.
